Hi, I’m Abby, a Licensed Master Esthetician and Certified Acne Expert based in Tacoma, WA. I am the founder of Duplicity Skincare and Flourish Skin Studio.
After working hands-on with clients, I saw the same pattern over and over again: people struggling to treat acne without triggering sensitivity, irritation, or accelerating visible signs of aging. The industry often forces you to choose between clearing your skin and protecting its future.
Duplicity was created to change that.

Our Ingredients
At Duplicity, every formula is built with intention. We combine clinically proven actives with barrier-supportive ingredients to treat breakouts while supporting long-term skin health. Each category plays a distinct role in creating clear, resilient, age-supported skin.
Nourishing Oils
Not all oils are created equal. We use lightweight, non-comedogenic oils like grape seed, jojoba, and safflower to replenish the skin, support the lipid barrier, and maintain balance without clogging pores or triggering breakouts.
Hydrators
Hydration is essential for both acne management and healthy aging. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe, and sodium PCA draw water into the skin, improving elasticity, calming inflammation, and supporting overall skin function.
Barrier Repairing Ingredients
A compromised barrier can lead to breakouts, sensitivity, and accelerated aging. We incorporate ingredients like panthenol, oat protein, peptides, and botanical extracts to strengthen, soothe, and restore the skin so it can function at its best.
Exfoliating Acids
Gentle, effective exfoliation is key to clear skin. We use acids like mandelic and lactic acid to dissolve buildup within the pores, smooth texture, and brighten the skin without causing unnecessary irritation.
Clinical Actives
Our formulas are powered by results-driven ingredients like niacinamide, kojic acid, vitamin C derivatives, and peptides. These actives target breakouts, discoloration, and early signs of aging while supporting overall skin health.
Retinoids + Renewal Ingredients
Retinoids are essential for long-term skin transformation. We use next-generation forms of vitamin A to support cell turnover, improve texture, and reduce visible signs of aging, while pairing them with supportive ingredients to maintain skin balance.
